FEATURES:

Automatic Formatting

Only SmartDraw does the drawing for you. Start with a template and use the action buttons to add shapes. SmartDraw places with in just the right position with the appropriate connections.

Building a diagram using action buttons is simple. Move your cursor over a symbol. You'll see a gold outline with four arrows appear. Click an arrow to add a new symbol in that direction. SmartDraw will add a new shape, along with a connecting line, automatically.

You may also add shapes by clicking the buttons in the SmartPanel, if you prefer.

Editing is just as easy. To delete a shape, simply select and delete. SmartDraw reformats your chart automatically.

Need to make a change? Select the box you want to move, drag it to the new location, and SmartDraw automatically changes all the connections and re-aligns all the shapes.

You can even build entire charts with just keyboard shortcuts. For example, add all the boxes you need in a flowchart with the Ctrl and Arrow keys.

To ensure your visual looks as polished as possible, SmartDraw applies a professional design theme automatically. Change to a new theme with a single click.

Microsoft Office^® Integration

SmartDraw is fully integrated with Microsoft Office^®. With literally one click, you can send your completed drawing directly to Word^®, Excel^®, PowerPoint^{® *}, or Outlook^®.
When you send your visual to Outlook, SmartDraw opens a new email message with your SmartDraw file attached, plus inserts a preview image right into the body of your message.
You can even copy and paste from SmartDraw to any your Office^® document, and vice versa.

PowerPoint^® Integration

SmartDraw works with PowerPoint^® like no other software to give you a better way to compose, manage, and deliver visual presentations.

Plan out your presentation visually using SmartDraw's storyboard feature. Easily re-order your slides by dragging and dropping.

Microsoft Visio^® Filter

SmartDraw gives you access to all your old Visio^® files, plus new ones you receive from colleagues.
If you have Visio^® installed, SmartDraw can translate your VSD and VSDX files into SmartDraw format^*. Layers are maintained, and all connections are intact.
You can even convert multiple Visio^® files at once with the batch process feature. Just navigate to the folder containing your Visio^® files, and click convert.

Microsoft SharePoint^® Integration





SmartDraw integrates with Microsoft SharePoint^®, one of the most popular document management systems in the world.

Publish your SmartDraw file to your SharePoint^® server with just one click.

You can also browse the SharePoint^® server and check documents in and out from within SmartDraw.





Microsoft Office^® Interface

SmartDraw even works like Microsoft Office^®. Commands and options are grouped in a similar way, and are made easily accessible with the tab-oriented "ribbon" interface you're used to.






Exporting File Formats





SmartDraw makes it easy to export your visuals to a variety of formats. In addition to one-click exporting to Microsoft Office, you can also save your SmartDraw documents as an Adobe PDF or any of more than a dozen different graphic formats, including TIFF, JPEG, BMP, and PNG.

You can even send your SmartDraw file as an email attachment—in native format or as a PDF—without ever leaving SmartDraw.

And SmartDraw can open or import virtually any standard graphic file format. It's the only graphics software you'll ever need.




Printing

SmartDraw puts the printing options right at your fingertips without covering up your visual. As you change print options SmartDraw gives you an immediate preview so you know exactly what you will get.
The drawing area in SmartDraw is unlimited, allowing you to make posters, plans, and other visuals of any size.
When you want to print your document, you can print it all on one sheet of paper, print to scale, print on a range of pages, or even print at actual size depending on your printer.


Collections

Group several SmartDraw files into a collection and manage them as a single file.
When you open a collection, SmartDraw keeps the files organized in a single folder and maintains the hyperlinks between visuals.
Use the forward and back buttons to easily browse through your interlinked visuals.
When you share your collection with someone on your SmartDraw Account, they will be able to zoom and scroll on each visual. They can also see notes and open links and attachments.

Adding Shapes and Lines

Aligning, Rotating, and Grouping

Tables

Adding Images and Photos

Easily integrate photos and other images into your SmartDraw document by importing, or copying and pasting. All standard file formats are recognized.
Built-in photo-software functionality allows you to import images directly from your digital camera or other source, crop and scale, adjust color and brightness, and drop them into org charts or any other SmartDraw document.


Notes

Put details about your visual in notes instead of on your diagram for a cleaner and simpler look.
Add notes to any shape and see them pop up as you mouse over. Perfect for collaboration.
Notes are also visible on the web, so you or anyone you share your visual with will be able to view any notes, even on a mobile device.




Comments

Avoid the inevitable and confusing collection of co-worker emails by putting all your comments right into your SmartDraw document.
The new comments feature keeps track of who added each comment and when it was added.
Like notes, comments can be toggled on and off. Plus, you can choose to print out your comments as well. All the comments are added to a second sheet, keeping your diagram uncluttered.
